- Take a Fun Ride on Rickshaw in Nara Park!
- Jinrikisha (Rickshaw) was born in Japan in the Meiji period (1868-1912) as a useful and popular mean of transportation for everyone. Later, the jinrikisha became popular in Asian countries as well (in English “rickshaw” is said to come from jinrikisha). Though jinrikisha has disappeared after the prevalence of cars, they are still alive in many touristic areas in Japan.
- The knowledgeable driver will give you interesting explanations of every spot which you will never learn walking alone. Here is one of the most popular and recommended courses. Take a ride on jinrikisha and you will be impressed with how your driver can entertain you!

- 1) Get a jinrikisha. Main riding spot is the intersection near Todai-ji Temple.
- 2) Show your Nara Explorer to the driver and tell him where you desire to go.

- In Japan, you may have had an experience that a destination you wish to visit is in the inconvenient location by public transportation. But don’t give up!
