January. Another new year has started.
Many Japanese people go to Shinto shrine to pray for happiness, good luck, health, etc. for the coming New Year.
In the shrine, there is something you should try. It is called Omikuji. You pick one of the paper slip and it will tell you how lucky you will be this year.
The Kasuga Shrine in Nara has a unique deer shape omikuji. You know why? This is because we, deer, are considered to be messengers of the deity.
Why not trying to pick one of the Omikuji and see your luck?
